Great Item... May 29, 2009 Allan Freetage (Hemet, CA United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is the best Gold Finch feeder out there! The holes are just big enough for the gold finches to get the seeds out but to small for the aggressive house finches that are here in So. California. Now that the house finches don't come around I have 40+ gold finches feeding on this feeder (not all at once but 10 can feed on this feeder at one time) and in my garden! I highly recommend this :)
finches love this August 12, 2008 phoebe sylverthorn (michigan) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have been feeding about 50 finches all year long for 10 years. I have never had such a good thistle feeder. Not much waste, squirrels or raccoons leave it alone, and at least 10 finches can eat at a time.
Absolutely the best Finch Feeder I've seen or used December 30, 2008 R. Graham (Dewey, Oklahoma USA) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
This Perky Pet NF16 16 inch long metal Finch Feeder is going overlooked unfortunately. It has no perches for the Finch but what it does have is hundreds of perforations where the feed sticks out and the birds cling to while eating. The Finch literally cover the feeder each clinging in a different direction. Getting the food out appears to be no problem for these birds. A good quality plastic feeder lasts one or two years here in the OK summer sun and cold winters. It will be interesting to see how long an all metal feeder will last. It feeds more birds and has less waste. Enjoy a flock on your feeder - try this one!
The perfect bird feeder April 24, 2009 Kathleen Love 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am very pleased with this bird feeder, and the birds agree with me. As soon as I hung it up they flocked around it. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to bring birds into their yard.
Fantastic finch feeder! January 6, 2009 Taylor Darby (Sterling Heights, MI USA) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I've put out finch feeders for years; they were all hard to clean or spewed out too much thistle. This feeder has a simple design that, once the finches figured it out (and they're very quick learners!), they swarmed it! So far it's been a big hit, and the squirrels have ignored it. I used a zip tie to attach the hanger to a tree branch; the top of the feeder slides up and down on the hanger for filling, but the hanger itself doesn't open to allow you to slip it over a branch. I have high hopes that this finch feeder will be part of our little bird haven for years to come.
